VantagePoint Studios & Fine Art Gallery presents the following Exhibits:

"Town and Country Impressions"  -  by Kathy Taylor Duke and Vickie A. Johnson

Since she opened her first box of crayons as a child, Kathy Taylor Duke has been drawing horses. Her experience as an equestrian and her life-long passion for horses, dogs, and nature is evident in her artwork that captures the unique personality of each subject. In 2004 Kathy Taylor Duke received the Else Tuckerman Memorial Award at the American Academy of Equine Art in Lexington Kentucky for her painting "Officer of the Blues and Royals", a portrait of a WWI British officer and his horse.

Vickie A. Johnson sold her first painting at the age of 13.  She has continued to create art over the years, striving to touch the lives of many through her philosophy of giving to the community around her.  A native of Tennessee,  cityscapes, landscapes and people in their natural environment have been her themes.  Portraiture is also a love of hers, and she enjoys the opportunity to give back to the families, who have lost a child in the war in Iraq by painting the fallen soldier’s portrait as a gift to the family. As an award winning teacher Ms. Johnson has come to understand the tremendous impact that an artist can make on the lives of people, both young and old.

VantagePoint Studios & Fine Art Gallery presents the following Fine Art Exhibit:

"The Pear and European Flair"  -  by Ronald Pircio

Ronald Pircio has always been intrigued by the realism and bold colors in still life paintings by the Old Masters. He paints landscapes and still life, in both, pastels and oils. More recently, Ronald has been identified with his world famous pear paintings. The pears are a still life with a twist. Instead of surrounding the pears with mundane kitchen objects or household treasures in a static composition, the pears take on human attributes.

Individuals and corporations throughout the country collect Ronald Pircio’s work. Along with samples from his Pear Collection, Mr. Pircio's show features a selection of landscapes from various European countries.

Cheryl Riner Hodge is an accomplished artist from Rome, Georgia. While her principal medium is watercolor, she also enjoys pen and ink and custom painting furniture, tile and fabric. Ms. Hodge's  work, that is filled with detail and punctuated with light and vivid color, can be found in many private and corporate collections nationally and internationally.
