Heike Hellmann-Brown, a German native, is an interpreter, a literature translator and an editor by trade. She has published numerous books in Europe and is a featured author in various US-publications. Traveling is one of her pleasures. So far Heike Hellmann-Brown has visited 20 countries. She lived in exotic places such as Morocco and Egypt, and explored lifestyles in Greece and Australia. Her interest in foreign cultures is evident in her photographic snapshots from all five continents. Coming from a rich cultural background, Heike Hellmann-Brown always had a great appreciation for art and art history. In order to merge this passion with her craft and talent, her attention has shifted towards art journalism. Currently she is writing an ongoing series titled “Art Scene” for select magazines. Her exposure to a multitude of artists and not least her husband, renowned artist Mike Brown, encouraged her to finally discover her own artistic side through Abstract Expressionism. “As a writer words have always been my creative outlet. Language is able to inspire and capture the most magical moods and moments; it is very substantial. Art, on the contrary, comes alive through interpretation. While I cherish the tranquility and delicacy of painting – the use of color and texture can express and evoke emotion louder than any words.” Heike Hellmann-Brown
