Mike Brown is an entirely self-taught artist, who grew up in Hawkinsville, in middle Georgia. Many of his ideas for painting are inspired from those days. His love for animals and nature’s beauty has been portrayed in his artwork for over three decades now.

Mike Brown’s paintings can be found in many collections, among them the Governor’s mansion. Furthermore his artwork has been published in the book “Georgia - A State of Beauty”. In 44 plates the book contains traces of some of the most charming and unique places in this country – a modern as well as a historical portrait of the “Old South”.

After founding and running a successful 3D-animation company for the past 15 years, Mike Brown’s work has not been in the public’s eye except for very few commissions. Due to continuous requests from art collectors all across the United States and Europe, Mr. Brown is now focusing again on his art career. He opened a fine art gallery in historic downtown Canton, THE GALLERY by VantagePoint Studios. Along with a selection of his own landscape and wildlife paintings, the gallery features artwork and photography by various nationally acclaimed artists.
